Nurse Assistant Training

Overview

Nurse assistants or aides have become more in-demand in recent years with the rapid rise of America’s aging population. People turning their attention to improving their health and lifestyle further led to an even stronger need for these professionals.

Working under the supervision of either a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), nurse aides provide their services in skilled nursing facilities. Their duties include caregiving and taking patients’ vital health information like blood pressure and temperature. They also play the crucial role of observing the patients’ physical, mental, as well as emotional status, and reporting any and all changes to their supervisors.

Our Nurse Assistant Training Program is designed to produce reliable individuals who are honed to become significant additions to the healthcare industry. It offers an all-encompassing learning experience through various instructional methods such as lectures, simulated workplace or clinical setting, and an externship program.

After completing this training program, the students will be equipped with valuable know-how’s about basic nursing and caring for the elderly and the cognitively impaired. They will also learn the basics of mental health, as well as safety and emergency procedures. As nursing assistants are on the frontlines of the healthcare community, the courses included in this program also tackle essential communication and interpersonal skills.

The program is designed to prepare students to take the Certified Nurse Aide Examination given by PROMETRIC for the New York State Department of Health.

In total, our Nurse Aide Training Program consists of 125 clock hours, which include 95 hours of lecture and lab, and 30 hours of externship. Avail our comprehensive courses for $1,200.00 (already inclusive of a non-refundable registration fee of $100.00, textbook materials, plus a set of scrub).
